Wedding shmedding

I have so many reasons to be thankful for no-wedding marriages. Yes, no-wedding marriages. Aaron’s younger brother, Jesse was finally married last Saturday! Aaron and I were both in the wedding. It was horrible. Who thought it was going to be so freakin’ hard? I didn’t. Monica, the bride, was so stressed, I didn’t want to be around her. I didn’t know how to talk to her about it, because I never had to deal with church decoration, or sitting arrangements, or tuxes, or whatever. Poor girl. I think she was almost close to just eloping. I don’t blame her.

Here’s an advise for engaged or serious couples: just elope. Your parents’ll be a little disappointed for about a years, but by the second year they’ll be fine. Trust me. My parents didn’t have to pay for any wedding dress, decorations, catering, or officates…And Aaron’s parents, they paid absolutely nothing. Wow, I saved them thousands of dollars…

Getting back to the wedding…or a couple days before the wedding. Thursday was Thanksgiving. Aaron has a large family; there was close to 20 people eating Thanksgiving dinner at my in-laws; and I cooked! The next day was the rehearsal! Ahhhhh. How many times do you really have to rehearse a wedding. I think I might have walk down the isle 5 times that night. By the time we left church it was close to 10:30pm. I forgot to mention, we met at the church 5:00pm.That’s over 5 hours! Then we had to entertain out-of-town guest till 3am…Okay, so by Saturday, the wedding, I went to the brides house and did nails. It was alright. I’m not all about nails, but it was okay. The wedding was at 7pm, so I actually had time to relax. Monica was a reck! Are they always a reck before they get married. I don’t think I was. 5pm, we arrived at the church, dresses and ready for pictures. I hate pictures. Everyone’s got a fake smile on…and it hurted me face :-(

Okay, okay, I’ll finish the story. The wedding ceramony lasted 45 minutes. Ahhhh Too long, if you asked me. But it was okay. We didn’t have a grand meal, but we did have lots of desserts. I love desserts. Then bride and groom left and we had to clean up. Wow, that was a long night. I think we got home around 12.

So, to conclude this blog, I suggest everyone have a small, small, small wedding or just elope. And I just realized I hated wedding, alot!
